The IMG-W Solution
The Industrial Moisture Gate for Wood Logs (IMG-W) provides a clear, data-based picture of incoming wood deliveries, supporting accurate purchasing, material control and production planning.
The Microwave System generates multiple polarized low-power electromagnetic fields. Variations caused by water in the logs provide precise information about moisture content.

The 3D Optical System collects physical data on the truckload: width, length, height, speed, gaps, and load structure. This data controls the microwave system and calculates total load volume, ensuring accurate and representative results.

Sample-Based Moisture Measurement Conventional moisture measurement methods do not provide a complete picture, as sample-based or local measurements reflect only a small part of the load and do not capture the natural variability in wood moisture and density.

How does it work?
Our Industrial Moisture Gate (IMG) combines advanced microwave sensing with 3D optical analysis to measure the full load of incoming raw materials.
As material passes through the system, moisture is measured in real time across the full load, providing highly accurate and consistent data. When measuring large quantities of wood logs delivered by truck, IMG-W also determines the stereo-and solid volume, basic density and the load’s fill factor. This ensures that every delivery is evaluated on the basis of actual material characteristics.
